Arbitrum Guide

As market activity grows and the NFT mania rages, gas fees have skyrocketed to record heights, making Ethereum unaffordable for all except the wealthiest users. Not only this doesn"t perform well with the user, but it also attracts new users to other ecosystems.

It may be a little late to call it "L2 summer", scaling started with the long-awaited Arbitrum launch. A true layer 2 that inherits Ethereum's security and complements it with lightning-fast transaction speed, an "optimistic rollup" is sorely needed to ease congestion on L1 and lower fees to make Ethereum available to a wider range of users.

Despite launching weeks ago, Arbitrum has already begun to gain traction. The network has already locked $ 96 million. In addition, we began to gain insight into the potential of the L2, as even with artificially reduced power, the average gas price for token exchange is 12 times lower on Arbitrum compared to Ethereum L1.

Now that we understand what Arbitrum is, let's look at how to transfer funds online. The process of connecting to Arbitrum is no different from the process of any other network. Users just need to add network support to their wallet and then transfer funds through the Arbitrum Token Bridge.

Let's walk through this process step by step:

1 - First go to the Arbitrum Token Bridge.

2 - You need to add the network to your MetaMask. Click "Add / Switch to Arbitrum Network" and you will be prompted to enter the network information. Click "Confirm" to connect to the network without having to manually enter any information. If for any reason you want to enter the network data manually:

Network Name: Arbitrum One

New RPC URL: https://arb1.arbitrum.io/rpc

ChainID: 42161

Symbol: AETH

Block Explorer URL: https://arbiscan.io

3 - Enter the amount of ETH or other tokens you want to transfer and click "Deposit". You will then be presented with the standard approval and confirmation transactions that you will have to pay for gas on the Ethereum mainnet.

4 - You can track the status of the bridge transaction at the bottom of the interface. In about 10 minutes, your funds will be available for use on Arbitrum.
